    Jestina is the heart behind CHOWCHIN. With a deep passion for justice, faith, and community, she leads the organisation with vision and compassion. Her commitment to uplifting vulnerable women and children across Sierra Leone is rooted in years of hands-on service and a calling to make lasting change. Under her leadership, CHOWCHIN continues to grow reaching forgotten places and transforming lives, one act of love at a time.

  • Emmanuel Famba

    Emmanuel plays a key role in keeping CHOWCHIN running smoothly and transparently. As our Director of Finance and Administration, he has a strong eye for detail and a deep commitment to stewardship. He manages our finances, reporting and internal operations. His work ensures that every donation is handled responsibly and that our programmes are delivered with care, efficiency and integrity. Behind the scenes, Emmanuel helps turn compassion into impact.

  • Ibrahim S Turay

    Ibrahim oversees all day-to-day activities in Kambia District as our Operations Manager, ensuring our projects run smoothly and our staff are supported in the field. With a calm and committed presence, he manages local teams, gathers accurate reports, and helps keep our programmes accountable and on track. His dedication to serving vulnerable communities with excellence makes him an essential part of CHOWCHIN’s mission on the ground.

  • Phylica Kanu

    Phelicia plays a vital role in making sure women and children receive the support they need to thrive. As Gender and Children Coordinator, she helps women access small business grants, build agricultural skills, and move toward financial independence. She also ensures that children in our programmes are not only supported through education but also cared for through fun, engaging activities. With a heart for empowerment and a hands-on approach, Phelicia helps bring CHOWCHIN’s mission to life every day.

  • Foday B Turay

    Foday plays a key role in ensuring our work stays effective, accountable, and impactful. As Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, he oversees farm operations in Kambia District and supports the wider monitoring of CHOWCHIN’s programmes. Through regular site visits, data collection, and reporting, Foday helps us measure progress, identify areas for growth, and ensure that our support truly reaches those who need it most.

  • Abu Bakarr Sankoh

    Abu Bakarr manages CHOWCHIN’s agricultural projects with dedication and care. As Farm Manager, he oversees the day-to-day running of our farms, tracks progress, and coordinates training sessions for women farmers. With years of hands-on experience, he shares his knowledge generously guiding and advising women to grow their own food, build skills, and gain confidence. His work plays a key role in empowering rural women through sustainable farming.

  • Hawa Kamara

    Hawa provides vital hands-on support across our programmes, with a special focus on children’s welfare. As Assistant Coordinator, she visits children at home and at school to ensure they’re safe, supported, and thriving. She also assists with outreach to women in need and helps distribute food and essentials to vulnerable families. With a gentle spirit and deep commitment to care, Hawa is a trusted presence in the communities we serve.
